Inventory Management Software

Inventory software should explain how stock changes, not just display a quantity. We document receipts, transfers, reservations, dispatches, returns, and adjustments, then choose the smallest system that represents those movements reliably.

Agree what a stock quantity means

Available stock may differ from physical stock when orders reserve goods. Define units, locations, product variants, and whether batches or serial numbers matter. Decide whether negative stock is allowed and who can approve corrections.

  • Receipts, transfers, dispatches, and returns.
  • Reservation versus available-stock rules.
  • Role-based adjustments with recorded reasons.
  • Reorder views and movement reports.

Scope barcode and offline needs separately

Barcode scanning requires supported devices, label formats, and rules for unknown codes. Offline entry adds synchronisation and conflict handling. Start by checking the actual warehouse workflow rather than assuming every inventory app needs a mobile scanner.

Make the system of record explicit

If an online store, ERP, or accounting tool also holds stock, identify which system owns each field. Document how failed updates are retried and how staff find mismatches. Transactional database operations and access controls are more important than a decorative dashboard.

Reconcile a pilot before full rollout

We model movements using sample products, test corrections and simultaneous updates, and compare the system balance with a known stock count. Pilot one location before a wider migration. Handover covers imports, backups, access management, and the agreed support process.

Pricing and Scope

Published web application packages start at ₹29,999 for the Starter scope and ₹59,999+ for Business. A named solution is not automatically included at the starting price: integrations, migration, permissions, and support determine the final estimate.

Questions Before You Start

Can we synchronise an online store with inventory?

Potentially, subject to the store API and data model. Synchronisation needs ownership rules, error handling, and provider access in the proposal.

Will the app automatically fix inaccurate opening stock?

No. The business must verify opening balances. The software records subsequent movements according to the agreed workflow.
