Choose the selling model first

A fixed-price retail store, a made-to-order catalogue, and a wholesale quote portal have different requirements. Decide how products are priced, whether stock is tracked, where you ship, and who handles returns. Those rules shape the software and the estimate.

YAVEX’s Professional website package is published at ₹24,999 with an e-commerce-ready scope. The dedicated e-commerce service uses a custom quote. The package figure is not a price for every store or a market average.

Count data work, not just products

Ten product types with sizes, colours, bundle rules, and changing stock can need more setup than many simple products. Inspect the source spreadsheet and image library before agreeing an import. Product copy, images, category structure, and data cleanup should be assigned explicitly.

Budget for the payment lifecycle

Gateway setup includes merchant-account onboarding, test payments, provider callbacks, and failure handling. A successful browser redirect alone should not be treated as a paid order. Confirm tax and refund rules with the business and qualified advisers; the developer implements the approved requirements.

Provider transaction fees, platform subscriptions, shipping charges, and paid messaging are operating costs. They are not automatically included in a development fee.

Start with a testable store scope

Provide sample products and a real fulfilment scenario. Test successful and failed payments, variant selection, stock changes, order emails, cancellations where included, and mobile checkout. Ask for editing training and who responds when a provider integration changes.

If stock lives in another system, read the inventory scope. If the site needs sellers, commissions, settlements, or disputes, it is a marketplace application and needs a separate plan.

Questions Before You Start

Does every catalogue need checkout?

No. Quote-based or configurable products may work better with product enquiries. Checkout needs agreed payment, pricing, stock, and delivery rules.

Can I use the published Professional price for a marketplace?

No. Seller roles, commissions, settlement, moderation, and disputes are separate application requirements that need an estimate.
